I love the idea of having succulent plants as wall art. Succulents Galore (found via poppytalk) sells a fully equipped succulent wall art kit, packed with a cedar box and frame plus 20 different types of succulent cuttings to get you started. All we have to do is figure out where to hang it.

i <3 new arrivals

As dreary as it is outside today (“light wintry mix”) and as blah as I’m feeling, West Elm managed to revitalize my spirits with their refreshing website update.

doggy spa

Today I hopped on the subway with our dog, Bonnie and we set off for Manhattan. Just a few minutes later, our dog was experiencing the bustling city life for the first time since we moved back to Brooklyn. I showed her around Union Square and my favorite squat spots then we headed over to unleashed doggy spa. (I chose this place and made that special trip with her because it got the best reviews on Yelp.) She got all cleaned up with a haircut and a nail trim and I think she looks super cute so had to share. I’m shameless… P.S. before pic posted here

madewell at bird party

Tonight Moseyman and I trekked out into the nasty winds and rain to see what was going on at the madewell-bird party (a celebration of Madewell‘s big debut at bird).

Unfortunatley, the rack of stripes (and I’m a stripes and Madewell lover) felt a little underwhelming… perhaps overshadowed by the s’mores on a stick, free beer and sweet tunes?

I think the parting gifts near the door were the highlight… an event branded pouch, a 15% off coupon and a couple of mini cheddar corn muffins.

wood warmth

I’m always on the lookout for things wooden or natural for our home so I rounded up a few new accents I’ve been noticing online.

Shopping: folding library bookshelf, spectrum shade, salvage table, free trade pouf, vintage pop shelf
