nantucket necklace

Perhaps you’re tired of me posting these giant creature necklaces by now but er, I can’t help it. Just look at the shiny mug on “Nantucket

here comes the sessun

I normally don’t like being accosted by music when I open a website but Sessun seems to accost me with music I keep wanting to return to. Their collection, their winter photo shoot aesthetic, their entire urban-nature vibe, and yes, their site music, is like slipping into a warm bubble bath. Feel for yourself

boy’s boyblazers

Boy by Band of Outsiders just came out with a few new boyblazers to add to their already great little collection. Here are my two favorites.

geninne zlatkis

Loving the calming, simple, yet intricate detail Geninne Zlatkis’ artwork, block prints and illustrations portray. The images she draws her inspiration from are those she finds in nature, so birds, flowers and wild animals are found everywhere in her work.

Her Etsy shop is currently a bit barren. It should be restocked in only a few weeks time after she reportedly completes her move to a new small town in Mexico, but Urban Outfitters carries a few beautiful items such as this sweet owl pillow, this reindeerbird pillow and this wintery love birds print. She also maintains a blog which has a great little stamp carving tutorial in it.

sweater sweep

All my favorite sweaters seemed to have died all at once. Holes, dryer shrinkage mishap, broken zippers… each and all of these problems make up the state of my winter wardrobe these days. Maybe it’s time to invest in a few newbies that might last me a little longer? Here’s my first mini winter roundup, called, err… ‘Sweater Sweep.”

Tweedy Rider

Two days ago District Columbians dressed up in their best and most authentic tweed attire to ride their vintage bikes around the streets of Washington in attendance of the city’s first “Tweed Ride,” the Victorian inspired bike tour. Apparently these have been going on in a few different cities like San Francisco, LA and Chicago. Love this purple girl with the elfish hat! More images found on NPR

copenhagen streetstyle breakdown

This look is such a great nugget (via campcomfort / copenhagen streetstyle), from the masterful bang-bun to the messenger bag, to the dotted tights and sweet jacket. I felt it was necessary to break it down and scavenge for the pieces. Here’s what I came up with:

Yeay! Urban Outfitters finally just publicly released their holiday items online. I posted a peek to their lookbook a few weeks ago here. These are my favorite pieces (minus the zebra print jacket… it’s not online yet) in newly photographed angles with links… gotta have this sequin cardigan!

winter camis

A cami in the winter seems a bit paradoxical but I think one can be worth it when paired with the right layers. Here are my favorites. For the holidays… (I’m in love with this green velvet cami.)
