some distraction

Hope you’re having a relaxing weekend. I’m sitting on my couch staring out at the grey overcast skies and thinking about all the things that are coming up at the end of this year. I decided to post some comforting pins as a little distraction. Here are more if you’re interested.

visiting the yorkshire dales in england

I’m having a lovely time showing my moseyman where I’m originally from – the Yorkshire Dales (England), even though we just lost to Italy in today’s Euro Cup match!

Here are a few photos from our trip so far. Hope you’re having a wonderful weekend!

This is a Bolton Abbey sheep. Doesn’t he look like he’s ready for a wool cut?

Here’s me walking through Malham Cove. All the streams had very strong currents that day since it rained for a straight 24-hours the day before!

I just loved this picture of the moody cows and the moody skies.

Hipster bull came to greet us at our car while driving back from from our hike!

Guess who’s film won the grand prize at the Fribourg International Film Festival? That’s right… Moseyman’s film won. Yahoooooo!

Back from Switzerland. What a perfect trip we had! Here are a few pics from it. Hope you’re having a wonderful Springy week!

fribourg film festival

Moseyman and I are heading to Switzerland in a few weeks to hang out and watch his film premier in Europe’s Fribourg Film Festival. We’ve never been to Switzerland so we’re looking forward to it. Anyone have any recommendations for great Swiss veggie food, places to stay, Wintry-Spring things to see, etc? We’ll do our research but wanted to hear from you guys first.

quiet tel aviv moments

My days have been really busy here while working in Tel Aviv, but there are those special moments, like when I take a lunch break and just stare out at the water ┬á(see pic above). Lucky me, the Wix offices are located right on the Mediterranean Sea! It’s Thursday night now which means the Israeli weekend is starting. Phew! And by the end of next week I’ll be back in Brooklyn, NY and more importantly, back in the arms of my Moseyman. Hope you’re having a happy week!

P.S. I love how the design pattern of this modern wooden boardwalk mimics the waves of the sea. Can you spot some wooden waves?

outside tel aviv cafes

It’s a cold, rainy weekend here in Tel Aviv (I’m visiting here on business) and for the most part I’m staying indoors. I did go out for breakfast though and took this photo while peering out the window. It’s one of Tel Aviv’s main shopping and cafe streets. Hope you’re having a relaxing weekend!

off the topic tuesday

Looking super forward to going home for the holidays. I could use a dose of the slow Florida pace and soothing green nature.

Don’t know about you but┬álately life feels as though it’s on fast forward and I’m having trouble taking it all in. I’ve started exercising to tire out these feelings and that seems to help a little but only temporarily. I’m also working on breathing exercises while I sit at my desk at work… my coworkers are just as crazy so I don’t care.

Anyway, what do you guys do to get through these kind of times? Do you ever experience a bout of daily worry or is it just me?

potted pine

Ever since I saw this little potted pine tree on Lena Corwin’s blog last year, I’ve been dreaming about having one of my own come holiday time.

Well it’s holiday time and so you can imagine my happiness when I strolled through the farmers market in Union Square this morning and found the cutest potted pine that will add some much needed life to our wintry apartment. We already have some lights to string around it, but I love how Lena also hung these cute handmade ornaments.
