Sorry for the lack of posts lately. My life has been buzzing with busyness. Big News… Moseyman and I have officially decided to move back to New York, dog and all! A US cross country tour for our little band is also in the works (including SXSW!) So basically, there is quite a lot to take care of in the next couple of months but I plan to keep up with the blog as normally as I can. Before I sign off for the night, check out this perfect gold dandelion necklace. Oh and look out for more installments of winter – turned spring fantasy tour posts.
More giant creature neck flare! Amazing necklace from anthropologie:
Perhaps you’re tired of me posting these giant creature necklaces by now but er, I can’t help it. Just look at the shiny mug on “Nantucket”
Automaton necklace = Autoawesome… I want to pair this $398 necklace with a bunch of messy, long chains on top of a plain white tee and be done with it, but… it’s $398.
Today I was feeling a bit blah so I threw on a skirt and a frilly shirt then balanced it out with my fuchsia canvas skips and voila. An instant cheery upper. But just a week earlier I was feeling too frilly and girly and had to figure out how to toughen it up a bit, if you know what I mean. I decided to collage these nerdy feelings into a reflection collection. Black Neon vs. Peach Ice Cream! Do you usually feel like a black neon or a peach ice cream? Or do you go through phases like I do?
So this weekend called for another breather from city life. This time we chose to drive a few hours north to a beautiful nature reserve. We brought the dog with us as usual, but were told once we got there that she wasn’t allowed to come on the trails with us. Feeling terrible about leaving her stuck in the car, we didn’t linger too long while we were there. But guilt aside, this was one of my favorite field trips we’ve taken so far. It wasn’t that the reserve was huge and empty of people, it was actually quite small and fairly populated. It was the weather that played a huge part in this great day. Dark clouds hovered over powerful sun rays which made for a dramatic back drop. Then after the clouds eventually burst, the colors were fantastic! Like after every great storm, the greens were greener, the yellows were yellower, etc… The highlight of the trip though, which turned us into a couple of gross camera happy tourists, was the herd of wild water buffalo, just roaming about oh 50 feet away. So… this week’s trip picks theme is “nature tourist nerd caught in rain storm.”

Last night I purchased a few things online in order to kick start my spring wardrobe. I’m basically forced to utilize online shopping since the Middle Eastern shopping scene has not offered me much fashion hope, as of yet. And being that almost all websites will not ship to this country, I have to send everything to my parents in Florida in order for my mum to forward everything on to me. By the time my shipment actually arrives, so has a new season! It’s a sad state of affairs. Pity party aside, I can’t wait to paw at my fresh new friends. I’d like to add a few more pop pieces but here’s what’s in store so far (from urban outfitters, leviticus jewelry and BR).
P.S. – I highly recommend you check out the sweet, one-of-a-kind, handmade jewelry at Leviticus Jewelry. I’m excited to float around town in my hot-air balloon!
