I love pixiemarket’s fetchingly unmatching ensembles. They always manage to do such a good job of making me want everything on the model. Here’s my favorite up top. Oh and check out how awesome the back of the stripey shirt is, never mind the “beatrice booties” underneath:
It’s high time I bought a new coat, but with weather that doesn’t get colder than 55, it just doesn’t seem all that necessary. Yet. But you know when it WILL seem necessary? When we’re back in New. York. City. Yes, that’s right. I’m going to be blabbering about our BIG MOVE in every post from now on… heh… not really, just a few more maybe. But wouldn’t this plaid “tommy short coat” be perfect for a leisurely stroll across the Brooklyn Bridge? Too bad its price tag will never allow for such a thing.
While I’m gearing up for our huge move back to the states in a couple of months, I’m also eyeing home decor everywhere. Since we’re looking to buy an apartment all I can think of is: new start, new home, new color, new warmth. My favorite nearby restaurant, called Puah, has the most beautiful eclectic decor. Each table, table cloth, plate and glass is unique and vintage. It’s styled down to the flower vase, knife and fork. I have to take pictures next time we go because I think that place will be my inspiration.
I regrettably didn’t do anything nice with our apartment here in the Middle East. It’s quite pretty on it’s own too… has very unique old sliding eastern doors, a great new kitchen and creamy tones all over. For our next place, I plan to add tons of color and warmth; maybe starting with this floral, smear-dyed duvet cover & sham set. But I’m a sucker for any pretty bed linens.
Sorry for the lack of posts lately. My life has been buzzing with busyness. Big News… Moseyman and I have officially decided to move back to New York, dog and all! A US cross country tour for our little band is also in the works (including SXSW!) So basically, there is quite a lot to take care of in the next couple of months but I plan to keep up with the blog as normally as I can. Before I sign off for the night, check out this perfect gold dandelion necklace. Oh and look out for more installments of winter – turned spring fantasy tour posts.
For those interested in helping immediately, I hear you may simply text “HAITI” to “90999” and a donation of $10 will be given automatically to the Red Cross to help with relief efforts. It’s then charged to your cell phone bill.
It was a bright, summery winters (2010) day here in the middle east so we took the dog out of the city for a much needed hike. We ended up stumbling upon a fantastic huge field of thick, lush overgrown green grass and squatted for a mini picnic of butter croissants and cheesey sandwiches. I ended up tearing off my croissant-flake-covered skinny jeans and thick wool socks mid hike, to sport only an old AA T-shirt dress and pasty white legs. Although winter is and always will be my most beloved season, it did feel nerdily liberating to skinny down along the heated path and bare a little skin. Here’s to a odd, warm winter’s day (and the coolest dog ever):
