fantasy tour – the band nerds – texas

In a just few weeks time moseyman and I will be traveling south by south west… here’s my Austin-inspired getup:

Shopping: jeany sandals, white ankle socks, stripey top and pocket tote, black and white skirt (can’t remember, sorry)!

welcome to the jungle

I’ve always been a sucker for strange animal related fabric but I don’t mean typical leopard and zebra prints. In college I went through a “fuzzy” phase where every dress I created was made out fuzzy, furry material (never real fur of course). Lately I’ve been attracted to weird jungle prints. There’s something about their quirkiness that fills my infantile needs and makes me laugh. I would def enjoy wearing any of these pieces:

jungle jumper – urban.com, spray jungle print bag – topshop, insight animal tee – urban.uk, insight astral bikini – urban.uk, jungle skirt – topshop, insight surreal print bikini – topshop

middle eastern fashion crisis

Last night I purchased a few things online in order to kick start my spring wardrobe. I’m basically forced to utilize online shopping since the Middle Eastern shopping scene has not offered me much fashion hope, as of yet. And being that almost all websites will not ship to this country, I have to send everything to my parents in Florida in order for my mum to forward everything on to me. By the time my shipment actually arrives, so has a new season! It’s a sad state of affairs. Pity party aside, I can’t wait to paw at my fresh new friends. I’d like to add a few more pop pieces but here’s what’s in store so far (from urban outfitters, leviticus jewelry and BR).

P.S. –  I highly recommend you check out the sweet, one-of-a-kind, handmade  jewelry at Leviticus Jewelry. I’m excited to float around town in my hot-air balloon!

A.P.C it’s easy as 1,2,3

I’ve been a big fan of A.P.C. for a few years now. I think they tie in with that whole simple but elegant Parisian-chic look I’ve come to admire. Jean Touitou’s designs haven’t budged much throughout time and there’s something both refreshing and aggravating about that. Does that make sense? Refreshing, when it’s a great piece, aggravating, when it translates to boring. But for the most part, I’m enjoying his Spring 09 collection. There are these fantastic free-feeling vacation pieces in rich warm hues which I can easily fantasize prancing around in, while munching on an over-sized baguette. Here are some looks I would definitely covet.
