neo space dress

I somehow really like this crazy Tina Kalivas dress with ruffle hip panels. It’s price is not so likeable:

summer dresses for broke(ish) lasses

Feeling a bit broke these days and knowing there are others out there who must be feeling it too, I decided to post a bundleful of dresses for under $100. Under $50 would’ve been better, I know, but a few were just too cute to not get slipped in 🙂

top of the tops

I was fishing around for simple summer tops that are easy to throw on with whatever, because I’m lazy like that, and found 9 nifty nuggets of affordables. I shopped around the obvious, cheaper, but cooly sites. These are my faves: 80spurple, Modcloth, Urban Outfitters, Pixiemarket, ASOS and Topshop. I also scanned just a couple of the more expensive (top notch) shops because it sort of felt necessary: Frances May, Farfetch and Bird. I tried to keep them under $50 but couple of them went over. Sorry. Here are my picks:

Waistcoat tee (Ben Sherman) ASOS ~ Pup tee (Fox in Mociun) Francis May ~ S & N (silence and noise) ruffle Urban Outfitters ~ Check top FCUK ~ Gymnast tee Farfetch ~ Daisy chain tee 80spurple ~ Giraffe tee Bird ~ Zip tunic Topshop ~ Zip vest Topshop.

FIELD TRIP PICKS ~ farm fields

Lately, I’ve been taking a day each weekend to get out of the city for a field trip. It doesn’t need to be far or fancy, just peaceful. Last weekend, moseyman, dog and I found the perfect huge field to wonder through and breathe fresh, perfectly temperate air. Miles of crops surrounded our sandy path. We saw potatoes, radishes and carrots bulging up out of the ground, we smelled acres of fresh parsley, and the only noise we heard (besides the occasional fly-by dirt bike hooligan) was the sound of field wheat gently brushing one another in the wind. The dominating wild flowers were unbelievable. With the sun bobbing in and out of the clouds, it was cold one minute and hot the next. These kinds of outings require stylish comfort and light layers. So, I decided to create a collage of some affordable field trip picks… Inspired by wheat fields and open skies…
