Mounir Moufarrige, the new chief exec at Ungaro, recently called for new artistic direction over its 40 year-old French Couture line. “Naturally,” he chose tabloid queen, Ms. Lindsay Lohan for the job. Lohan’s new direction left the line’s Fashion Week debut with a soggy reception and little applause. Noted Frenchie art director, Fabien Baron, turned up his nose shortly after the show on Sunday and was reported screeching, “Pas possible, call the fashion police!” NY Times reports one retail chief saying he had asked for a ticket only because he thought the show would be a spectacle.
